Don Peterson

Executive Chairman Of The Board

Don Peterson’s multifaceted career as both a successful tech and healthcare entrepreneur continues to take Don down many exciting paths. Don began his technology career with Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) where he ran a large sales organization on the west coast. After ten years with AMD Don left to form his own startup company, DeskStation Technology, maker of the world’s fastest 3D graphics rendering system for its time.

Following DeskStation, Don developed a secure messaging technology for biometric security and was awarded 2 patents on the use of steganography in encrypted communications. In 2007, he applied his computer graphics and encryption experience to create a clinical decision support system for the interpretation of echocardiograms. This effort led him to heading the company that performed the echocardiograms and to the emergence of Big Data and predictive analytics in healthcare.

In 2012, Don founded IVXpress, Inc (now called IVX Health) by creating free-standing, non-hospital based infusion clinics for intravenous drug therapy. IVX, with fifteen locations nationwide, has significantly disrupted the $200B infusion therapy market. McKesson Ventures and its venture partners, along with Nueterra Capital, acquired controlling interest in IVX in late 2017.

Don is an Entrepreneur of the Year recipient. He attended American University where he studied economics and political science. Don is a family man who is an avid reader of anything and everything, enjoys playing ice hockey, snow and water skiing, and traveling the world.
